Available Services

Services in the comfort of your own home - no travel and waiting rooms.

Individual intervention services that suit your needs are provided in your home or at local playgrounds. This type of service provision ensures that your child is comfortable and more willing to engage in therapy. The OT will provide training on the methods used during the intervention and highlight ways that you can replicate the activities between sessions.

Childhood Developmental Screening

The OT can offer a short assessment of your child's development which can highlight possible areas for intervention. There is also the option of a more in-depth movement or development assessment if you are already concerned with specific areas of development and want to understand your child's developmental profile better. These assessments can be completed in your home.

Kindergarten Readiness

The OT can complete a Kindergarten Readiness screening which will check in on all the pre-cursor skills required for a successful year in Kindergarten. These skills can include pre-printing skills, scissor skills, self-management skills, and much more. The OT can create a home program for you to complete at your own pace with your child or you can follow the route of individual intervention sessions in your home on your schedule.

Routines Based Intervention

If you are struggling with key moments/routines within the day, the OT can help to analyse what parts of the routine are causing difficulties and can provide intervention to help support you and your child. The Routines-Based Interview is used to pinpoint difficulties and create goals to work towards. Some of the interventions may include accessing visual supports or teaching specific pieces of a routine. When children and caregivers have the knowledge and skills to do well, they can.

School-Based PD

With inclusion being the gold standard in schools, many staff feel under-prepared for the challenges. An OT can help by providing either in-depth PD for managing specific difficulties related to a diagnosis or overall PD that is more skills/developmental based.

Executive Functioning Skills

Executive Functioning Skills refer to a set of invisible skills that help you manage the demands of everyday life. Skills like response inhibition, planning, and emotional control to name a few. When students can master these "soft skills" they can become independent, self-driven learners.

Play-Based Learning

The best learning occurs during play. Even teenagers need to play to continue building their social skills and academic learning. Delve deep into the world of play and explore which skills are targeted by games you already have access to.

Physical Challenges

Students who struggle with physical limitations are often left out. Learn about innovative ways to include these students and build their independence and self-worth.
